The Japanese company Square Enix is preparing to release the Final Fantasy Agito freeplay on mobile devices.
The action of the new title takes place in the same world as in Final Fantasy Type-0. The latter was released in Japan on PSP in 2011.
The key feature of the future project is an interesting synthesis of a single and an MMO.
The game is divided into cycles, which, in turn, are divided into chapters. The chapters themselves take place in two stages.
The Japanese gaming publication Famitsu was the first to tell about the new game
The first stage is 10 days of single play. During this time, the player pumps the main character, recruits his team. The remaining 4 days are an online PvE battle with complex monsters that the player is helped to destroy by his friends / other players.
The developers have not yet decided how many chapters there will be in each cycle. It is also questionable how tough monetization will be. Now the developers promise that it will be absolutely free to go through Final Fantasy Agito from beginning to end.
Interestingly, the original Final Fantasy Type-0 was originally developed for smartphones, but was later redesigned for PSP. The game received excellent reviews and even earned the title of the best of the latest Final Fantasy titles. With all the popularity of Final Fantasy Type-0, it never left the borders of Japan. Square Enix also has no plans to release Final Fantasy Agito outside Japan yet.
