“The revenue from our games turned out to be better than we expected,” Zhang also noted, already talking about his own business. In just the first quarter of 2013 alone, his company earned $17 million.
Despite the large numbers, both the market as a whole and the company Shanda, which is one of the largest Chinese operators of online games, there are problems both there. One of the main ones, according to Zhang, is the quality of local games.
“Some mobile games are very weak. We need more high-quality titles that will contribute to the growth of the market,” Xiandong said.
