Starting tonight, the cost of applications in the Russian section of the App Store is displayed in the national currency. In addition, Apple has increased the prices of applications in a number of European countries.

The new prices, to put it mildly, are not equivalent to the exchange rate of the Central Bank. Now an application that cost earlier, for example, $ 0.99 will cost 33 rubles exactly.

However, European countries have also fallen out of favor with Apple. Today, Cupertinos have increased prices in most countries of the European Union. The company explained its move by a noticeable drop in the euro exchange rate.

The company also announced that it will charge developers not 30%, but 40% of profits in the following countries: Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Portugal, Greece, Poland, Germany, France, Belgium, Austria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Luxemburg, Hungary, Russia, Ireland and Finland.

There is no need to panic. Given the increase in prices for the applications themselves, after deducting 40% of the deductions, developers will receive even more than before (however, in fact, in a number of European countries, deductions were already 40%).

By the way, Apple, in addition to Russia, has transferred the stores of 7 more countries to national currencies: Turkey, India, Israel, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, South Africa and Indonesia.
