The popular game for mobile devices Temple Run can now be played without these devices. Imangi Studio, together with Spin Master Games, announced this today on its Facebook page.

The developers followed the path of Angry Birds, crocodile Swamp, etc., giving life to their product outside of mobile devices. The difference is that Imango Studio “revived” not the character, but the whole game, making it a desktop version. From October 1, The Temple Run Danger Chase board game can be purchased in stores.

The goal of the players is still the same: to overtake the demons. Only now it has to be done with a cube.

There are no examples – at least successful ones – when a mobile game would make good money in retail yet. But there are examples of the opposite: when a popular board game became mobile. The first thing that comes to mind is, of course, a Ticket to Ride. But there are few such games.

Well, maybe Imangi Studio will create a new trend. Time will tell!
