The creators of Clash of the Clans earn more on two projects per month than the French – on 259 games; strategies and gambling bring the most money on iOS; on Android, users prefer to spend money on games from casual and arcade categories.

We have already written today about the big App Annie INDEX report on the state of the mobile market. His main conclusion, as you remember, was that the income from the Japanese Google Play surpassed the income from the American. But our story about this study would be incomplete without the charts of the most profitable publishers in the mobile market, which App Annie also shared.

According to the analytical company, Electronic Arts earned the most money on iOS in October. Not surprising, considering the 962 (!) released applications. In second place is Supercell, which currently has only two games on the App Store. The third place is occupied by Zynga, whose earnings in October allowed to rise in the top of the box office companies by two positions, pushing Gameloft to fourth place, and Apple itself to fifth.

The top ten most profitable publishers in the official Android app store include mainly only Japanese and South Korean companies. Of the western ones, there are only Zynga (fifth place) and Gameloft (ninth place). The top is headed by DeNA. The popular Gamevil is on the sixth, and GREE, which often pleases us with informational occasions, is on the seventh position. In terms of the number of free downloads on iOS, Apple and Google are leading, Supercell is not in the top at all, but there is another Finnish team – Rovio (in tenth place).

On Android, Google, Facebook and Rovio are in the top three. Of the gaming companies, Halfbrick Studios is also present.

In the world top box office games, two Supercell creations are expected – Clash of Clans and Hay Day, in first and fourth place, respectively. In second place in the box office top is The Simpsons from Electronic Arts, in third place is Puzzle & Dragons from Japanese GungHo Online.

In the box office top of Google Play, the latter occupies the first position. And, yes, there is no place for Western products in the Android global box office chart.

Out of curiosity: in the top of cash applications for iOS, strategic games and casinos prevail, conditionally, as for Android, then casual and arcade things are “starring” here.
