The Russian company “M.Video” has published statistics on smartphone sales of its retail network. Android accounts for more than half of all mobile devices sold.

According to the data, smartphones have firmly entered the lives of Russian users: in the first half of the year, more than 55% of the phones sold are “smart devices” (this is 200 thousand devices). Among them, Samsung GT–S5380, Samsung GT-S5380i, HTC One V, Samsung Galaxy S III and Apple iPhone 4S became the sales leaders in various price categories (in ascending order: from the low price segment to the higher one).

It is worth noting that in the high and medium+ price categories, Finnish Nokia is rapidly losing its position, still leading the market for cheaper devices. But analysts believe that with the release of the Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 on Windows Phone 8, its market share will increase dramatically.

As for operating systems, Android has already become an established leader, on which 56% of all smartphones sold work, followed by iOS – with 25%. Symbian is in third and fourth place with 8% and Windows Phone with 7%.
