The analytical company comScore found that about half of smartphone owners make digital purchases.

According to the study, in addition to paid applications, users spend money on many other purchases. Among them, digital entertainment media – 47%, clothing and accessories – 37% and in third place the purchase of tickets for various cultural events (35%).

Moreover, when users were asked why they made such purchases on smartphones, and not through the website or in person, 63% argued their choice with the ability to make purchases on the go.

In addition, the company’s analysts note not only an increase in the consumption of mobile content, in particular, entertainment (by 82% over the year), but also an increase in the duration of mobile sessions.
