Samsung has managed to develop a special nanomaterial with which it is possible to produce lenses capable of displaying digital information.
Project manager Jang-Ung Park, a chemical engineer at the Ulsan National Institute, said: “Our goal is to create a convenient display for contact lenses that could do everything that Google glasses can.”
However, the technology is still very, very raw. The resolution of the current lenses is 1 pixel. But the main thing is that it works. And, judging by the first experiments with rabbits, it does not have any negative effect on the eyes.
So it is possible that in 10 years (or more) with the release of such devices, the mobile gaming industry will have to relearn how to work with the user.
