News from the Japanese giant GREE has been coming more than regularly lately. So today the company announced a significant expansion of language support in its social-mobile-gaming GREE Platform.

This is another evidence that the company continues to follow the strategy of active penetration into foreign markets, which we have already written about more than once, talking about its acquisitions and establishing partnerships with Western firms.

So, the number of languages supported by GREE Platform has increased by a dozen at once. The following languages were added to the Japanese and English available in the original version: French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish, Chinese (traditional and Simplified), Indonesian, Korean, Thai and (attention!) Russian. Arabic will also appear in November.

According to GREE representatives, developers using their platform on iOS and Android will be able to distribute their games in 169 countries from one SDK.
