Anyone who dreamed of getting their application on a new platform from RIM can start working: the Canadian company last week announced the start of certification of applications for the latest version of the platform.
Only, it seems to us, there are not so many people who want to give up everything and do the tenth Blackberry. RIM also understands this, otherwise they would not have announced a development competition, as a result of which, theoretically, any developer can receive $ 10,000.
So, according to the terms of the competition, developers must create a full-fledged application with touch control based on the latest SDK for BlackBerry. All applications that took part in the contest and earned from $1,000 on the platform’s store (attention, not yet existing) will receive a bonus of $10,000 from RIM.
It is unlikely that this will help popularize the company among developers who are blinded by the results of their lucky colleagues who head the tops of iOS and Android, but, in any case, the initiative is curious.
