Last weekend, the ninth Flash GAMM conference was held at the Kiev Rus Hotel! Despite the name of the event, not only flash, but also social and mobile games were discussed at it.
Flash GAMM! – one of the most democratic forums: the price of participation in it starts from $30. For this reason, there is the largest concentration of indie developers here. This time the forum gathered over 800 participants.
The program of the event included not only traditional lectures, round tables, networking, but also Speed Game Dating (blitz meetings of developers and publishers), 5-minute blitz reports, game lynches (public “flogging” of submitted projects), as well as game contests.
Mobile games, as expected, were one of the main topics, and the main star of the conference was the senior producer of Rovio Anastasios Katopodis, whose report “Angry Birds: Behind the Scenes” was doomed to sell out: every developer wanted to learn about the secrets of the success of the Finnish company first-hand.
Maxim Donskikh, the head of the publishing direction of Game Insight, shared his experience in the development, launch and development of the Airport City project on Android and iOS at the conference.
Indie developer from Bryansk Andrey Kovalishin, using the example of the game Snail Bob, showed how a simple flash project can be turned into a successful mobile game.
Very soon, most of the reports will be available on the official website of the conference.
The next Flash GAMM! It will be held in Hamburg on February 12, 2013. It will be held as part of the Casual Connect 2013 event.
