The EA-owned PopCap studio announced two games being developed within its walls under the Plants vs. Zombies brand.

Firstly, directly about Plants vs. Zombies 2, the sequel to the super-popular tower defense-a game that became popular on PC and Mac even before the “mobile era”. However, the transition of the industry to pocket gadgets played into the hands of the project.

The original game has long been a classicAfter the release of the iOS version of Plants vs. Zombies in 2010, the army of fans of the project has only grown.

Below the 55th place in the American top paid apps for iPhone and iPad, the game has not fallen in four years. As for the box office, then the game began to lose its position in the top only last summer.

As for the second project, it’s Plants vs Zombies Adventures, an adaptation of the original project created by the PopCap team specifically for Facebook. It is planned that in it players will be able not only to fight zombies in a new isometric perspective for the game, but also to send hordes of the living dead at each other.

It is not reported whether the announced projects will be released on mobile platforms. However, in our opinion, this is very, very likely.
