The team developing Ouya, a miniature Android-based game console, announced that on December 28 it will begin sending out “developer” versions of its device to interested developers.

The first to receive them are those who supported the project on Kickstarter. Recall that with the help of this crowdfunding service, the creators of Ouya managed to raise over $ 8 million.

Currently, the software toolkit for developers (Ouya Development Kit – ODK) is also being tested.  Very soon it will be available for download from the official website of the project. At the moment, the company’s programmers are working on optimizing Jelly Bean so that the picture looks great on the screens of large televisions.
