According to Venturebeat, the venture firm Signia Venture Partners has organized a fund totaling $100 million, focused on supporting startups in the fields of mobile applications, games, online video and educational technologies.

Signia Venture Partners was organized in 2012 by a group of investors led by the legendary Rick Thompson, who began his entrepreneurial career back in 1995 and managed to earn over $5 billion on the organization and subsequent sale of startups. The most high-profile deal was the sale of the Disney empire founded by him to Playdom for $763.2 million in 2010.

After that, he paid special attention to the field of mobile games and founded the company Funzio, which was acquired last year by the Japanese giant GREEE for $ 210 million. In total, his portfolio includes about two dozen investments in mobile startups.
