It’s no secret that the Windows Phone direction is currently a priority for Nokia. Nevertheless, the application market for its Symbian-based devices and the Series 40 continues to evolve. This is evidenced by statistics published recently on the pages of the official blog of Nokia developers.According to the data provided by the company, the total number of applications in the Nokia Store is 120 thousand, which is 20 thousand more than in the Windows Phone Marketplace.

Although much more interesting is the fact that by now more than 120 million registered users have managed to make more than 5 billion downloads. Every day, according to Nokia representatives, users download 15 million applications, with at least one download for every 80% of traffic.

With such a high conversion rate, 411 studios developing for Symbian can call themselves millionaires. Moreover, 15% of them were able to “implement” from 10 million or more copies of applications. However, only 28 development companies have 25 million downloads, 9 offices – about 50 million, and 3 (these are UTV IndiaGames, Pico Brothers and Inode) – 100 million installations each.
