Newzoo has published the world’s top 20 grossing iOS games for the past September. It includes Clash of Clans, Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North, The Simpsons™: Tapped Out, as well as a number of projects published only in the Japanese market.

This is the second time Newzoo has published such a chart. The first one came out a month ago. It is not entirely true to speak of it as a global one, since analysts take into account the data of only 12 of the largest of them: American, British, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Belgian, Brazilian, Russian, Chinese and Japanese.

In terms of profit, the best results are shown by Clash of Clans, which dropped Kingdoms of Camelot to second place in September, but in August the game of the Finnish company Supercell was not even included in the top ten box office games. Of the newcomers, Hay Day from the same Supercell performs the best – it is on the 11th position in the global box office chart.

Note the presence of as many as five Japanese games in the top twenty, presented only in their native market.
