The Munich–based company Metaio, which develops software related to augmented reality (augmented reality – AR), announced that 50 thousand developers are already using its platform, and the number of applications based on it has exceeded 1,000.
The AR solutions offered by Metaio are gaining popularity quite quickly. Just a year ago, the number of downloads of its SDK was 10 thousand, and now it has been adopted, as mentioned above, five times more developers.
The company marked the taking of new frontiers with the release of updates to the Metaio SDK and the Metaio Creator service. In addition, she announced a competition, the winners of which will receive licenses for her software and will be invited to the insideAR 2013 conference in Munich, where they will be given the opportunity to present their developments.
