An updated version of the Marmalade SDK engine was released today, numbered 6.1.2. It now has full support for iOS 6, Xcode 4.5 and iPhone 5.

Ideaworks3D has implemented support for the sixth version of Apple’s mobile operating system and, accordingly, the entire line of new Apple devices into its cross-platform engine.

So now applications on Marmalade will run on the latest Apple smartphone without black frames. Also, ARMv7 is now by default. Ideaworks3D claims that the latter has increased the performance of Marmalade applications on all Apple gadgets, starting with the iPhone 3GS.

iPhone 3G and Symbian 6 developers no longer support. But the update has increased the number of tools for working with BlackBerry.

Less than three months have passed since the company’s last update, which introduced support for Windows 7 and Mac OS X.
