Last Saturday (September 8), a seminar for mobile application developers – MAD’day, organized by the MAD’school training center, took place in St. Petersburg.

During the seminar, it was possible to listen to representatives of mobile application development companies, including Touch Instinct, Nevosoft, i-Free Innovations, e-Legion, IZITEQ, etc. From the point of view of promoting mobile applications, 2 reports were of the greatest interest: Anatoly Larin, Business Development Manager for Touch Instinct, and Denis Konovalov, head of the mobile platform development department from Nevosoft.

Let’s start in order. Anatoly Larin’s report was devoted to the features of promoting mobile applications, and several of the facts presented were really a discovery for the audience. Here are some of them:

1. Publishing information about the application on the resource iphones.ru contributes to its entry into the Top 50 of the Russian App Store;

2.       Other people’s comments on the application can be deleted and sorted;

3.       You can track the app reviews via track.boloid.com;

4.       Wordstat will help you choose keywords.yandex.ru.

Unfortunately, all of Anatoly’s advice concerned only the Russian market, which is not surprising, because Touch Instinct specializes in it.

Nevosoft has a richer experience in this regard. Denis Konovalov’s report was dedicated to the developer’s checklist. Denis has experience in localization of games in ten markets and porting them to three mobile platforms. During the seminar, he told what a developer should not forget when creating a mobile application. In this list:

– give the player the opportunity to tell his friends about the game on social networks

– create tables of high scores and achievements of the player

– ask players to rate the game and write a review in the market

– localize applications into different languages

– take into account the requirements for the size of the distribution

– update your apps as often as possible

– save user’s purchase history

– take into account the requirements and restrictions of the market

This is about the introductory seminar. The further MAD’SCHOOL program involves training in programming for various platforms, lectures, trainings and practical classes. More information about the MAD’SCHOOL training center can be found here http://madschool.ru /. You can sign up for training by following the link http://madschool.ru/zapisatsya-na-kurs /.

MAD school itself emphasizes the urgency of opening such a training center for mobile application developers, because today “iPhones, smartphones, tablets are replacing computers,” notes Dmitry Prokoshev, who spoke on behalf of MAD’school.
