Another quarterly report was published by the analytical company Strategy Analytics. According to its data, according to the results of the third quarter of this year, Android-based tablets won a significant market share from the iPad.

In one quarter, the share of Android tablets in the global market increased by more than 12%. Android could not achieve such growth indicators throughout the year. If at the end of the third quarter of 2011, the axis held a market share of 29.2%, then by the end of the last quarter this year the same 29.3%, then in the current reporting period it is 41.3%. Obviously, the release of the budget Nexus 7 has borne fruit.

Now Android-based tablets are a serious competitor to Apple, whose share has fallen by almost 12% in a year in just one quarter, while shipments have decreased by 3 million devices.

In total, for the third quarter of this year, global shipments of tablets amounted to about 24.7 million devices: 14 million of them accounted for iOS devices and 10.2 million for Android.
