Just 24 hours after the release, the new version of Apple’s operating system was installed on 15% of the company’s devices. A year ago, iOS 5 reached a comparable figure (20%) only in 5 days from the date of publication.

This data became known last night thanks to the company Chitika. She also explained that such a large number of iOS 6 became possible largely due to the wireless update.

The company also noted that the speed of transition to the new version of the system of iOS users is much higher than that of Android users. Two months after the release of Jelly Bean, only 1.5% of devices on the Google platform work on it in the world.

Chartboost shares similar data on iOS 6. According to her, by now 17% of iPhone users, 13% of iPad owners and 9% of iPod touch owners have managed to update the system.
