Digi-Capital analysts claim that 65% of all investments in the gaming industry in the first quarter of 2013 were in the mobile segment.  

The volume of investments in the gaming industry is growing. In the first quarter of this year alone, the growth compared to the same period last year was 35% ($191 million). However, the number of investment transactions decreased from 44% to 40%.

Most of the investments (65% or $124 million) came from mobile games. The share of technology companies associated with middleware and the introduction of gaming services was 24%. In terms of the number of transactions, the share is 38% for “mobile operators” and 35% for “technologists”.  

According to Digi-Capital estimates, the gaming investment market, after a significant drop in 2011 (by 56%), will stabilize at the level of 2012. Yes, in six of the top ten mergers and acquisitions in the first quarter, non-American companies acted as buyers.
