Tonight in New York, together with Verizon, HTC, as expected, introduced the Droid DNA smartphone.

The main feature of the device is a 5–inch Full HD screen (with a resolution of 1920 x 1080, pixel density of 440 ppi). This is the second smartphone with this resolution after the Sharp Aquos Phone SH930W.

The novelty runs on a Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with a frequency of 1.5 GHz and has 2 GB of RAM. According to physical parameters, the novelty is thicker than the Galaxy S III – 9.1 mm, it has an 8-megapixel camera, a 2020mAh battery. The device also supports wireless charging.

So far, the smartphone works only in Verizon LTE networks, together with which HTC held a presentation.

Droid DNA runs on Android Jelly Bean, but NTS plans to upgrade to Android 4.2.

The cost of the device in the Verizon store, subject to a two-year contract, will be $ 200. In the USA, sales will start on November 21. In other countries, the device will appear later and under a different name, possibly under the abbreviation DLX.
