The Taiwanese vendor is no longer going to sell its tablets in the USA.
According to Jeff Gordon, HTC’s global communications manager, the company will return to the tablet market only if there are favorable conditions for this.
The incident is that at the moment there is not a single HTC tablet on sale in the USA. And it’s not entirely clear who is leaving from whom and where. Moreover, HTC itself is not very active in the tablet segment. Over the past couple of years, it has released only three models: Flyer, Evo View 4G and Jetstream.
Nevertheless, the company’s management claims that HTC will continue to closely monitor the development of the market. But so far, the Taiwanese manufacturer has no ideas about what a tablet should be in order to claim a place under the sun.
LG Electronics also refused to release tablets this summer.
