The Australians are going to light up. The authors of Fruit Ninja and Jetpack Joyride publish a simulator of a recording studio on mobile platforms.

Recently, developers from Halfbrick have been becoming more active in the mobile market after a lull of almost a year and a half. In the spring they released a strong average Fish Out Of Water, in the summer they announced a very tempting Colossatron at PAX, now they have announced their plans to publish a third-party project. What’s next, capturing the world? :)

In fact, Band Stars, a project of the Australian studio Six Foot Kid, which Halfbrick undertook, has been in the “soft launch” stage on the App Store since August. This is a casual studio simulator. The player must create a popular group, form its composition, choose the genre in which it will play, and engage in the selection of musical themes and lyrics.

It depends on how successful the songs are, whether the user will be able to unlock new songs and musical genres.

Monetization in the game is based on the use of energy and several currencies, which are used to purchase studio equipment, new songs and the very possibility of recording more of them in one session.

In 2012, the game was released on Google+ and Google’s Chrome Store, but then the developers decided, apparently, to make numerous changes to it. For this reason, these versions are not available at the moment.

The game will be available on the App Store, Facebook and Google’s Chrome Store by the end of the year.
