Yesterday, Gree introduced an open source tool that allows you to develop Unity and HTML5 applications with Flash content.

The Japanese company continues to please with news (we are already a little tired of its activity, to be honest). Only this time there were no reports of another contract with a small team of developers. The publisher has introduced a revolutionary tool – Lightweight SWF, which allows you to render and play Flash animation in programs built in Unity or HTML5.

Initially, it was created specifically for internal teams with a rich Flash past. But since yesterday, any game team can use the tool. With the help of SWF, she will be able to create a user interface and animation in her games without resorting to programming.

GREE herself has already used SWF in Animal Days and Alien Family. The company explains the release of the open version of the toolkit with the desire to make life easier for the developer of mobile applications. Quite altruistic, considering that the company is going to support and update this project.
