The French publisher has reported for the past six months: half of the company’s revenue is accounted for by revenue from games for smartphones and tablets.
In total, the company earned $144.8 million on mobile games. This is 15% more than last year for the same period. Gameloft explained the growth by the continued refusal of users from simple cell phones.
80% of the money from smartphones came from IAP and advertising. As noted in the company, virtual goods are not only responsible for most of the profits, but also seriously increase the LTV of the game. Six projects, which account for about half of the company’s total revenue, were published either in 2011 or 2012 (and Modern Combat 4 is one of them).
In total, the company plans to earn from $311 million to $317 million for the current year. In 2012, the company’s revenue amounted to $275 million.
