Game Closure has released its own toolkit that allows you to develop Javascript applications that are not inferior in performance to native programs.

Previously, developers tried to use Javascript to create multiplatform games, because this, theoretically, could save companies large sums. The problem, as Dan Takahashi writes with VentureBeat, was as follows: Javascript without GPU graphics support was slow. For this reason, such games worked noticeably worse than native applications.

Michael Carter, the chief executive officer of Game Closure, claims that their SDK has solved this problem. It allows you to quickly and easily create Javascript applications that are not inferior in performance to native analogues.

Developers write Javascript code, we compile a native program based on it, and it’s not a wrapper for a web application,” explains Carter. After creating the game, it will automatically be ready for worldwide release on any desired platform, it will be possible to configure monetization (including IAP) and monitor user behavior after release.

Game Closure DevKit is available to everyone, it is free and has an open source. Applications made with it are not subject to any licenses.
