As part of the Slush conference, held recently in Helsinki, App2Top managed to talk with the executive director of Grand Cru, Markus Pasula, who spoke in detail about his view on the development of mobile games.

Grand Cru, the creators of the Supernauts project, is considered by some analysts as the next Supercell. This studio received $16 million in investments and finished work on the Supernauts game. The project will be released in the USA and Europe on December 6 (Supernauts is available in New Zealand now).

Pasula says that to achieve success on iOS, the game needs to be optimized as much as possible for the platform, squeezing all the graphics out of it. This is the only way to achieve success on Apple devices. So, during development, the company threw out an almost finished game and started working again. Sometimes you have to be careful not to fail.

Touching upon the most attractive markets for Grand Cru, the head especially singled out Russia. Supernauts is already being translated into Russian, and at the same time the studio is looking for partners who will help promote the project in our country. At the same time, China, South Korea and Japan are no less interested in Finns, but entering Asian markets is fraught with many difficulties.

Supernauts is a mix of genres, including a construction simulator, a puzzle, strategy and social entertainment. The game looks amazing and offers rich multiplayer options. Judging by the comment in the App Store, the only drawback of the project remains the requirement of a mandatory connection to Wi-Fi.
