Whether you plan to publish your apps only in one country or in several, in any case, it is important to know how different the tops of apps in different countries are. Distimo analyzed the tops of free and paid applications from different countries.
The goal was to identify countries in which users have universal preferences, and countries in which users have a specific taste for applications.
The table shows the countries whose users have unique preferences in applications, and the shares of these applications.
That is, it turns out that about a third of the top 100 iPad apps in the Russian App Store do not fall into the tops of iPad apps in other countries; there are slightly more similar iPhone apps in Russia.
If you look at all the app stores, China and Japan have the highest rates of application uniqueness in the top.
