South Korean developer and publisher of mobile games Com2uS reported record results in the last quarter.  The company’s revenue amounted to $19.7 million, which is 158% higher than in the same period last year. And net profit increased by 490% to $5.31 million.

The company attributes the increase in sales and profit growth to the expansion of the line of social games for smartphones and the transition to the free-to-play model. Particularly noted are the excellent performance of such titles as Tiny Farm, Derby Days, Monkey Battle, Aqua Story, Com2uS Pro Baseball 2012 and Inotia 4.

In addition, it should be noted that the improvement of Com2uS’ financial performance was influenced to a certain extent by the appearance of the “Games” category in the South Korean iOS App Store. The fact is that until November 2011, she was absent due to some problems related to age ratings for games.
