It’s not long to wait for the appearance of one of the main games of 2012-2013 on Google Play. The Finns recently announced the launch of the Clash of Clans Android beta.
“It’s a matter of time,” Supercell’s head of PR, Heinie Vesander, said a few months ago at White Nights 2013 in connection with the issue of the release of Clash of Clans on Google Play. However, she refused to name even the approximate launch date then.
Yesterday, at a meeting of fans of the game held in San Francisco, the situation became a little clearer. Supercell community manager Stephen Rosenhein said that the company has launched a closed beta version of Clash of Clans for Android.
This means that its full-fledged release on Google Play is not far off.
Will this release seriously increase the company’s turnover and revenue? The question is complicated, since there are already similar projects on the Android market. In fact, Supercell will have to compete for users with its imitators.
In April, the company earned $2.4 million a day on Clash of Clans and Hay Day.
