The company, well known for its casual games in the genre of “I’m looking for”, is going to launch the first real money gambling game in the App Store – Big Fish Casino.
Gambling is becoming an increasingly popular genre among both users and developers. The former are easily hooked on it, the latter earn good money on it. Moreover, the best gambling programs, like Poker by Zynga and Slotomania, have been sitting in the top of cash applications for iOS and Android for months.
But Big Fish, having presented the Casino project together with the Betable service (currently only for the British market), went further. In the game, which is a rebranded version of Card Ace: Casino from Self Aware Studios (its “chips” were bought in March), users will play Texas Hold’em, “one-armed pirate” and roulette for real money. In case of winning, they can be cashed out just thanks to the Betable platform, which allows developers to implement a game for real “greens” into their applications.
The only thing that is alarming is that Betable is currently at the alpha stage, and Big Fish Casino has not yet passed Apple’s “appruva” at the moment. However, the company hopes to be able to launch the game within the next few weeks.
Also, a “non-standard” version of Big Fish Casino will soon appear on iOS, Facebook, Android and Kindle, which will replace Card Ace: Casino. The user base of the latter is more than 1 million active players.
