Paying players in the US spend more every month on mobile games than ever before in history, reports PocketGamer.biz with a link to SuperData.

Last April, the average gaming expenses of a paying player in the States exceeded the $12 mark. Thanks to Clash of Clans, Candy Crush Saga and Marvel: War of Heroes, which temporarily displaced The Simpsons: Tapped Out from EA in the box office top 3. However, the average conversion rate dropped slightly after six months of continuous growth.

For comparison, in Japan, ARPPU is about $50.
