The Apple company has announced the launch of an affiliate program in Russia, which will allow websites in Runet to earn from applications in the App Store.
Actually, as it is written on the official website: “the affiliate program makes it possible to post links to music, applications, books and other iTunes content and receive a commission from their sale” to program participants (Russian websites).
This is good both for websites to which Apple puts forward a large number of requirements, and for applications for which such placement will help to increase their visibility.
It is possible that aggregator sites will appear, the purpose of which will be to earn money by publishing links to new applications. If a particular site achieves high traffic, working with it (money for a feature on its main page) may well help in promoting this or that application in the Russian market.
The links themselves simply launch iTunes on PC and Mac or open the iTunes Store on an Apple mobile device.
Apple offers many tools for creating links: Link Maker, Widget Builder, Rss Feed Generator, Banner Builder, Search API, iMix and others.
