A couple of minutes ago, at an event in California, Apple introduced the fourth generation of iPad and iPad mini tablets.
The main feature of the fourth iPad is the new A6X processor, which is twice as powerful as the A5X processor in the previous model. The tablet is equipped with a new Lighting connector and a new, faster Wi-Fi module.
As for the iPad mini, everything is a little more interesting here. This is a very thin 7.9-inch tablet with a screen resolution of 1024 by 768 pixels. So all the software for the first two generations of the iPad will work fine on it, no fragmentation.
On the other hand, the outdated resolution is somewhat confusing. Most of the new seven-inch Android tablets have more. Take, for example, the Nexus 7, whose resolution is 1280×720 pixels.
Let’s leave it to Apple’s conscience. A few words about the processor – it’s A5, yes, the same as the iPad 2.
The minimum price for it will be $329 for a device with 16 GB of memory. For an iPad mini with a 3G module, they will ask for $ 459. The cheapest miniature iPad will be on sale on November 2, and pre-order is open for them from October 26.
Out of curiosity: the number of registered users in the Game Center has exceeded 160 million users (for comparison, Microsoft recently boasted that it has sold 70 million Xbox since 2005). So iOS, no kidding, is the most popular gaming platform.
Yes, Apple has sold 100 million iPads in two and a half years.
