The Japanese giant of the social mobile games industry GREE has made another step in the development of Western markets. The company acquired a studio from San Francisco – App Ant Studios.

The startup App Ant Studios was founded by four former employees of Electronic Arts, Yahoo!, TinyCo and Storm8 more than a year ago. During this time, the company managed to release only one project – the social game Dino Life, which, to be honest, does not particularly shine with results. But, apparently, the 439th place in the box office top of Google Play in the USA did not bother GREE.

So all App Ant employees, including co-founders, join GREE.  Moreover, the latter were offered senior positions in the American division of the Japanese giant.

The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

In the near future, Dino Life will appear on iOS.
