Google announced the next version of its Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system very recently, at the end of June. Less than two weeks have passed since that moment, and the company has already published the source codes of this OS.

This was announced by the technical head of the Android Open Source Project Jean-Baptiste Keru. By the way, simultaneously with the “raw” Android 4.1, binary codes of the latest firmware for Google Nexus 7 and Samsung Galaxy Nexus became available, Google Nexus S and Motorola Xoom 2 are next in line.

Of course, publishing the source codes of the new mobile OS will help developers to study it carefully and make it easier for them to optimize their products for the new platform.
