Vungle, a company specializing in the inclusion of promotional video trailers in mobile applications, reported that the number of views of videos posted since its launch last year has reached the 2 billion mark.

It also became known that the service raised $6.5 million during a fundraising campaign for initial development, led by Crosslink Capital. Due to this, the amount of capital invested in Vungle amounted to $8 million.

The platform provides developers with the opportunity to monetize applications through 15-second HD videos that are embedded in all applications. Vungle guarantees fast video playback, which eliminates user dissatisfaction that occurs if the video does not load or freezes due to a slow connection.

Video advertising has already been recognized by developers due to higher CTR rates than static banners. It is increasingly used by advertising companies and developers. For example, SponsorPay launched its own video platform earlier this month.

Vungle plans to use the funds received to expand its staff and develop new technology for its service.
