Linux fans will have a holiday in a couple of days, namely on February 21: a preliminary version of the Ubuntu mobile OS for Android devices will be released.
According to the developers themselves in a press release, this Thursday the “images and open source” of the preliminary version of the system will be published directly. However, it will be available only for owners of Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4 smartphones. In the future, support for other devices will appear.
The preview version of the OS, according to the creators, is primarily intended for “enthusiasts and developers” who not only want to get acquainted and get used to the platform, but also to start developing applications for it.
