Rovio on Friday published an animated gif with a bird-jayday on the official tumblr page of the Angry Birds game.
In the text that accompanies the picture, the developers promise to present different content on the same topic over the next weeks. Including animation, comics, various sketches.
Apparently, Rovio together with LucasArts are preparing a new game, which will be released immediately under two extremely high-profile brands: Angry Birds and Star Wars.
Our colleagues from Russian sites do not count on a large separate project, assuming that we are talking about another addition to Angry Birds Space, in which a new planet – the Death Star – will appear. They say that the update deadline has come, and Bad Piggies have recently come out: it’s too early to release a separate game.
In turn, if you abandon the version with the addition to Angry Birds Space, the relatively early announcement of the project after the release of “bad pigs” on September 27 can be both associated with the relatively low performance of this project and with Rovio’s desire to retrain into a factory for stamping mobile games.
Be that as it may, it is already clear now: the unification of the two most powerful brands will clearly lead to serious collections of a new creation of fins.
UPDATE: a teaser of the project appeared on the network, thanks to which its name and release date became known. So, the game will be called Angry Birds Star Wars and will be released on November 8.
