Tatiana Garat

What event/trend would you call the key event in the outgoing year in the mobile applications and games industry?

  • the dominance of midcore free-2-play games, the successful combination of casual mechanics with mid-core principles;
  • Facebook WeChat has a huge impact on the mobile market of the largest social networks (Line, KAKAO, WeChat, Facebook);
  • the merger of the largest companies, both local and cross-continental. It will be interesting to observe this trend in 2014;
  • the interpenetration of Western titles into the Asian market and vice versa;
  • the explosive growth of Google Play and Amazon.

What would you call the main event for your company this year?

The most important event for us is the successful completion of several free-2-play projects. We are looking forward to launching on the global market in early 2014, as well as entering new platforms and regions for us.

Please name one or two games (not from your company) that you can call the best projects on mobile platforms based on the results of the outgoing year.

Each employee in the company has their own favorites, but Candy Crush, Jelly Splash and Simpsons: Tapped Out became the favorites of our girls.
