The Swedish Stillfront Group is preparing to acquire another studio. This time the company became interested in Everguild, specializing in mobile CCG.
As Stillfront writes in its press release, the purchase will allow the company to master a new CCG niche for it and gain an additional audience. In return, the Swedes promise to help Everguild in the development of their projects.
The transaction will take place in two stages:
- an advance payment of $1.37 million is exactly what 100% of Everguild shares were valued at. A little less than half of this amount ($672 thousand) Stillfront will pay in cash, and the remaining $698 thousand in its own shares;
- in the future, Stillfront will transfer about $11.7 million more. However, the exact amount of payment will depend on Everguild’s EBIT for fiscal years 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
Everguild is an indie studio with offices in the UK and Spain. So far, she has released only two games. In 2016, the studio developed Drakenlords, and in 2018 — The Horus Heresy: Legions.
This is the fourth takeover for Stillfront in 2020. Moreover, only a month and a half has passed since the last transaction. Then a Swedish company bought a mobile studio Nanobit from Croatia.
