The money will be used to expand the studio’s staff and develop at least two of its franchises: Shadowgun and Dead Trigger.
“We are very pleased with the support from Nuverse,” Marek Rabas, founder and CEO of MADFINGER Games, commented on the deal. “She not only allocated us extra money, but also gave us the opportunity to use her solid marketing experience. The funding will also allow us to hire developers from all over the world to speed up the release of games.”
MADFINGER Games was founded in 2010 and has released 12 projects during this time. Among the loudest were the zombie shooters Unkilled and Dead Trigger 2, the sci-fi action movie Shadowgun Legends, as well as the simulation simulator Monzo. Today, the studio’s games have collected a total of 300 million downloads.
Nuverse is part of ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok. Recall that the Chinese corporation has recently been actively investing in the gaming direction. A month ago, through Nuverse, she acquired the mobile studio C4games, which developed Red Alert Online. Also at the end of March, she bought the authors of MOBA Mobile Legends.
