The takeover should be completed by the end of September.
Immediately after that, Bytex will become part of Saber Interactive. With the purchase, the Embracer Group subsidiary is going to strengthen its position in the Russian market.
Dmitry Karasev, CEO and co-founder of Bytex, will continue to lead the studio.
Bytex opened in 2004. She specializes in game development and testing. The studio has been cooperating with Saber Interactive for many years. For example, together with her, she participated in the work on SnowRunner, WWE 2K Battlegrounds, NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 and World War Z. Bytex currently employs 250 people, 190 of whom are engineers.
Bytex is not the first Russian studio bought by Embracer Group recently. Last month, the holding announced the purchase of SmartPhone Labs, based in Veliky Novgorod.
