Another studio has attracted strategic investments from AppLovin. The marketing network has invested in Redemption Games, launched by the authors of Cookie Jam.
The details of the transaction, as in the case of AppLovin’s previous investments in game studios, are unknown. The invested amount is also not disclosed. The company only mentioned that Redemption Games will continue to operate independently and retain management.
Redemption Games opened in 2015. It was founded by Michael Witz and Dan Lin, developers of the top match-3 Cookie Jam from the publisher Jam City.
The studio’s only project is called Sweet Escapes. The game was released in July 2019. The developer will direct AppLovin money to the development of this title and the creation of new ones. Before that, the Finnish Supercell also invested $5 million in Redemption Games.
Since the beginning of the year AppLovin has invested in the growing mobile studios Clipwire Games and Geewa. The Belarusian Belka Games also became a strategic partner of the company in September last year.
Let’s add that AppLovin also has its own publisher Lion Studios, which specializes in hyper-casual.
