On April 19, Nordcurrent announced the takeover of its old partner — Odessa studio Blam! Games Studios. As part of a short interview, we asked Victoria Trofimova, director of Nordcurrent, about the deal and the company’s plans for the future.

Victoria: This is a logical continuation of our relationship – we’ve been dating for a long time, it’s time to get married. They are a high-quality developer, and we manage processes well and are a great publisher. This wedding is for love.
What changes are worth waiting for Blam! Games Studio after purchase, not counting the name change?
Victoria: The main changes are the expansion of the team and the expansion of the product line.

Victoria: Nordcurrent Odessa will work on projects in which casual games of different genres are the strongest.

Which studios and which specialists are you looking for first of all now?
Victoria: If we are talking about studios, then we are interested in companies with a portfolio of at least 3 completed games, and if we are talking about specialists, then we are looking for everyone: artists of all kinds and all directions, programmers of all kinds, game designers, balancers… In general, all-all-all.
