Wargaming has announced the opening of Wargaming RED, a new studio located in Moscow. Its employees will be engaged in the development of an as yet unannounced cross-platform free-play game and support for old franchises.

“The name of the studio — Wargaming RED — fully reflects the task that we set for ourselves: This is an acronym for Research, Experiment, Develop,” said Gauhar Aldiyarova, operating director of Wargaming RED studio. Previously, she was an executive producer at Odd Meter and a PR manager at 101XP and Ice-Pick Lodge.

“Our office will focus on creating a new cross-platform online game, and will also become a regional center of expertise in the field of development — both on PC and on consoles and mobile platforms. We plan to grow to 250 people in 3 years,” added Gauhar.

In addition to Gauhar Aldiyarova, one of the top managers of the studio is Daniil Volkov, who previously held the position of director of development of World of Warships. In the Moscow studio, he took the position of product director.

Recall that Wargaming RED is not the first Moscow division of the company. In 2017, she launched Wargaming Moscow, which is currently developing 7 projects. She is engaged in three of them together with the MS-1 mobile studio.

This is the second new office for Wargaming this year. In April, she launched a studio in Vilnius.
