Walmart planned to launch its own game streaming service called Project Storm. It was supposed to be released on Windows and support launchers like Steam, Epic Games Store, Origin and Battle.net . It was also assumed that games in Project Storm could be obtained through subscription and direct purchases.

In 2019, Walmart showed the service to the authors of Fortnite and offered to add this battle royale to it.
The beta test of Project Storm was supposed to take place in July 2019. Whether it was, and whether a full—fledged release of the service will take place is unknown.
