Publisher Square Enix has opened a new division. It will deal with AI developments not only for games, but also for “new forms of entertainment”.
Final Fantasy VII Remake
The new business unit was founded on March 2, but it was announced only now.
It was named Square Enix AI & Arts Alchemy.
It is positioned as a research company that will help Square Enix build and develop its own AI technology. It is planned to apply it both in the gaming niche and in other, broader areas of the entertainment industry.
Square Enix, like many gaming companies, has previously invested in artificial intelligence. It was used in the creation of the Final Fantasy VII Remake, whose success indirectly led to the opening of Square Enix AI & Arts Alchemy.
The publisher also noted that now his new “daughter” is in search of business partners in the entertainment industry.
